I know white people that grew up in the center of the ghetto around a bunch of black folk who called them nigga all the time. So, yeah they say it cause I beleive they honestly don't know any better. It's like a human being raised by wolves in a sense. Not that I'm defending it but a situation like that is knida understandable. A hick rapper tho...not so much. You should have invited him to do a feature set @ the 5 Seasons to perform those songs. lol. I would have came thru to see that. lol.The Unstoppable Nuklehidzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00047204883503418023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5675499877836001799.post-18874098586978503092008-10-21T11:17:00.000-04:002008-10-21T11:17:00.000-04:00will this bloody "n" word never die?! nope. i've s...will this bloody "n" word never die?! nope.

i've said this way too many times before but since i don't forsee anyone letting the use--or non-use--of "nigger" go anytime soon i'll just repeat it once more:
what i find funny is that "nigger" is just a word. "just" "like" "every" "word" "in" "this" "sentence." words only have power if you give them power. words are only controversial if you make them controversial.

now, i don't like the word so i don't use it or answer to it. but if mc corn killah up there thinks its a good idea to use well it's w/e to me, but he should know that not everybody is as chill as me on those subjects.

so you did right by letting him know it may not be a good idea (unless he has really good security).

but the music was probably garbage anyway b/c you can't get too much quality in there if all you're saying is "nigga, nigga, nigga"Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5675499877836001799.post-3368331853039219972008-10-15T10:03:00.000-04:002008-10-15T10:03:00.000-04:00I've never understood midwesterners. There's no one who tells them how wrong it is, especially out in the midwest, and it just doesn't connect. There's no history or stigma for them.

I'm not saying there should be more beatings or violence, but words have power and all people need to understand the signficance of what they are saying, especially if they are saying a specific word repeatedly.

Perhaps you did do that kid a service, but I doubt he would have made it out of his hometown (or at least the midwest). Although perhaps I'm being overly judgmental, having not listened to his music.

In any case, I think silence in the face of ignorance is cowardly, so I'm with you on your handling of the situation. But I do agree with the young lady, hate is a strong word.Mee Jonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07322125672704310946noreply@blogger.com
